It really all depends on you, but I would suggest not getting a haircut above your chin. Anything higher is going to accentuate if you are (as you say) slightly chubby. I don't know what you look like, so I can't say for sure... But "if you are" then try a hair cut that is right above the shoulder with lots of layers, this way it seems shorter than it is, yet it doesn't make your face look too big. Layering your face will give it some definition as well.

i also have a round face and big cheeks, so i understand where you are comming from. Usually, for a round a chubby face, a short hair cut is not the best option. layers or angles usually is better. Still, it obviously depends on the person.

I have a round face and I always avoided short hair. About a year ago I had to get it all cut off because it was so damaged, but it looks really cute. I believe that is because I went to a great hair stylist. I still prefer myself with long hair, but I look good with short hair too.

If you are still unsure, try a short wig. Something cheap you could wear around the house or something, just to give yourself an idea of what you would look like.

Go for a layered bob with a wispy fringe. Keep the length to just under the chin and maybe have a colour put in. It can be very flattering and can actually slim your face down.

Be brave, when you go in to the beauty shop ask the stylist her/his opinion, they will cut it for your face....they want you to be happy and return again, and they won't force more on you than you want ........ go little steps at a time, but if you want it short then I say GO FOR IT!!!
