I have the exact same kind of hair! It really depends on if it's REALLY wavy or not. If you can straighten it then you can cut cute side swept bangs with layers all around with your shortest layer at the bottom of your chin.
That website has a really cute picture of Jessica Simpson's hair; however, you should not cut it so bluntly at the bottom. Make it somewhat choppy
