I guess this is assuming that it's in good condition and not ratty. little girls look better with long hair, and through the 20s long hair (maintained well) looks good-usually. after about 35 or 40, if you age normally (no surgery and not too fast) shorter hair would be good, not short hair. when it turns grey or white, short is the way to go. old ladies with long flowing white locks just isnt attractive to me.
